About the Girit Towel Set — What's Included, Gifting & Care ▾
A set of full-size Girit peshtemals, sold in twos through sevens so you can furnish a whole bathroom, kit out a guest house, or build a gift without buying towel by towel. Every towel is the 37'' x 73'' bath and beach size — one towel that covers bathroom, pool and beach duty.
How people use the sets
- Set of 2 — a couple's bathroom, or one each for a weekend away.
- Set of 3–4 — a family bathroom, with spares in rotation while others dry.
- Set of 5–7 — guest houses, rentals and beach houses, where towels need to be handed out and washed in batches.
Why it works as a gift
Turkish towels are one of the few household gifts that suit almost any occasion — weddings, housewarmings, new babies, retirements — because they are useful without being personal, and they do not need a size. The flat weave folds into a neat, giftable stack, and the larger sets arrive as a considered present rather than a single item.
Care
Wash before first use. Cool wash, low tumble dry, no bleach and no fabric softener — softener coats the fibres and reduces the absorbency that makes these towels worth owning. They soften and become more absorbent over the first several washes rather than wearing thin.
Woven on traditional looms in Antioch, Turkey.
